With families in-mind, Bruce and Rana Schafer formed Schafer Construction of Gainesville in 1997. Bruce started his career as a carpenter after graduating from high school in North Dakota. After spending six years in the Navy, Bruce graduated top of his class in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. In 1988, he moved to Gainesville to pursue his master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Florida. He built his experience by working as a project manager on everything from offshore oil platforms in the Gulf to buildings on the University of Florida campus. Over the years, Bruce Schafer has compiled an impressive resume of construction and management experience. Bruce Schafer and the Schafer Construction team are uniquely qualified to build your home. As co-owner of Schafer Construction, Rana brings an impressive array of corporate experience and professional knowledge. She leveraged her Masters in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at University of Florida into a successful career in technical sales and marketing as a Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Barr Systems in Gainesville. In 2004, Rana’s passion for real estate drove her to start a new career as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker M.M. Parrish Realtors. She has developed a proven reputation for understanding and meeting her customer’s needs. Together, Bruce and Rana will do everything possible to make your home purchase a rewarding experience.
